Our biggest problem with people these days though, is we will sit and watch a show like Biggest Loser, from the couch, Jump up, hit the
- gym
- go for a run or
- brisk walk
- do a few push ups and crunch's
Then you have the other end of room, the person who doesn't want to exercise, goes on a shake diet that cut's the calouries down to such a low amount, the bodies working off less than a third of what it should be working off. They lose the weight but there fitness levels are extremely low and along with there being no food for the body to digest and break down, this mean's their metabolism is extremely low. The result being, there is no overall weight management tool left in the body, remembering the bodies metabolism chow's up more calouries than any amount of exercise you can do at any one time. So basically
- the fitter you are, the higher your metabolism
- the higher your metabolism, the more calouries you use each day
This makes Diet and Exercise Very Close Friends....
Now comes the other truth... It's hard to motivate yourself.
The whole reason there are trainers around is because it's hard to motivate yourself to get out and do it yourself. When you have a standing appointment with a trainer, you'll get out and do it.
When you watch these shows on TV, I can tell you now, the reaults are amazing but the cold hard facts are, they would have never have done it themselves!
The trainer has had to work just as hard in the back ground!
People will quit, unless they have a motivator. I have come across a heap of people like this.
It's time for these people to get a reality check... Stop looking for excuses and get in and do it! Get a trainer (motivator) stop focusing on the negatives... I'm so tired / I've been real busy this week / I am just exhausted because I exercised 3 days ago and worked last 2 days????
Why the question marks? Everybody in the world is busy, everybody in the world is exhausted, I am exhausted every day after I've done all I have to do and worked all day but I still make time to train.
All I'm saying is that we all are busy but it's how you handle it that makes the difference.
Focus on the positives rather than the negatives. I'm not saying you should train as much as I do, I'm a trainer, thats my job. Just do more than you are now... You'll get excited with the results, be happier and it all then won't seem so hard.
So remember Diet AND Exercise... Not just Diet!!
